Thank you, I had quite comfortable stay and would stay here again. Location was beautiful and lovely, just off attractions and walks. Had reasonably large rooms to myself with the bedroom. An electric kettle, a fridge, and a cooktop worked well for me...

The Middlewood - Luxury Self Contained Retreat offers a truly relaxing stay with breathtaking garden views. During my time there, I had the pleasure of staying in a cozy apartment with a private entrance. The highlight of my stay was the kitchenette, equipped with a fridge and a microwave. It was like having my own little culinary sanctuary, and I felt like a master chef effortlessly whipping up delicious meals.

The location was behind a secure electric gate in a beautiful leafy area on a quiet road. The parking was free and there were plenty of spaces available for my friend to visit and park her car. The hosts, who were the parents of the owner, were absolutely delightful. They were there to greet us and made us feel welcome and settled in. They went out of their way to accommodate us and provided many lovely touches that added to the overall experience. The treats in the kitchen were a nice surprise and greatly appreciated.
One minor issue was the difficulty in finding the property. This was partly my fault as I had forgotten the initial email with the specific instructions.

I recently stayed at The Middlewood and had a fantastic experience. The hosts, Lou and Phil, were incredibly welcoming and made sure I felt right at home. The parking behind the automated gate was convenient, and picking up the keys was a breeze. The bed and sofa were amazingly comfortable, and the little touches like freshly baked bread and chocolates in the fridge were delightful. It was a stress-free and comfortable stay overall. Thank you, Lou and Phil!
Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Amazingly comfortable bed and sofa. Lovely little touches everywhere, fresh loaf of bread on arrival was very much appreciated. the bathroom with underfloor heating was a surprise bonus! Lovely parents of owner who were there to greet us and also settle us. Great parking behind an automated gate and key pick up was a doddle. Plenty of room for car. Delightful hosts who couldn’t have been more accommodating.
Felt secure, nothing was too much trouble.

Free WiFi - perfect for scrolling through Instagram; beautiful garden views, ideal for pretending I'm actually outdoors; free private parking - no more fighting for a spot with the common folk.
Must I really choose just one thing I didn't like? Well, the nearest airport being 23 km away - such a long drive for my private jet.

We got great value for our money at Middlewood - Luxury Self Contained Retreat. The room was spacious, clean, and had all the amenities we needed. The location was beautiful, although a bit tricky to find in the dark. The staff, particularly Lou, were incredibly helpful and friendly, even late at night. We felt very well taken care of during our stay.
The breakfast offerings could have been better with more variety.
